Part 4: Cozy Up

A Cozy Kid is a Happy Kid. Being a kid and having to sit still in a car is no easy task. Making sure your kiddo is comfortable will set you for for success. Here’s how:

• We all have experienced looking back at our kids and cringing when we see the position their heads are in after they have fallen asleep in their car seats. We purchased this but I am still looking for a better option.

• Pack their favorite blanket and stuffed animal if they have one. My daughter finds a lot of comfort in having her favorites.
• Make sure their feet have something to rest on if they are forward facing. A cozy kid definitely does not want their feet dangling for hours and going numb! I stack a pillow or blankets.
• A cozy kid means a kid who gets lots of breaks to stretch their growing, energetic bodies. I know it’s hard when you have a destination in mind. Do yourself a favor, and don’t set expectations for arrival time. Go slow. Stop often. Don’t stress.
