Family Road Trip Hacks
Part 1: Organization

By: Morgan

Trying to stay organized when you have a toddler is like going to get your car washed during a rainstorm, and then driving right into a dust storm. It’s kind of ridiculous. (At least in my life it is). After getting organized, my truck went from tornado disaster to a pool after a windy day. Still messy, but not nearly as bad! Here’s how I did it:

Car seat organizers, a must-have for the back seat of the car. I fill it with items Hadlie uses often—markers, colored pencils, small puzzles, etc.

I also purchased this middle seat organizer. The middle doubles as a cooler, or you can skip putting food/drink items in it and use it for craft supplies like I do.

Anything left over that does not go into the seat organizer or middle console goes into a plastic tub and is kept on the floor below Hadlie’s feet.

This travel tray has saved the day time and time again. It’s perfect for staying organized during craft time and having a suitable place for coloring, doing puzzles, play-dough, snacking, etc.

Get your self organized, then check back soon for more of my road trip hacks!
